I came across one blog that was discussing glass, that happened to have some great videos that students should see. This is an excellent award winning short documentary about glass blowing in a Dutch factory. 

This is an excellent video that gives advantages of glass to plastics; goes through the process of making glass within an state of the art facility in Vietnam.

A glass horse made in under 90 seconds. Amazing!
